Welcome to the weekend. I am not sure if it is going to rain or not, one minute it looks like yes, then 2 minutes later no. Either way, I am in the store today from 9 to 4. That last hour proves to be very long when no one is around, and I can think of what I could be doing instead. So, until the new hours begin on July 1st, I will be closing at 4 as well. I will be changing my hours on all the media as well.

It is Father's Day weekend, and we do have gifts for dads as well. Books, wallets, Brittles, chocolates, jams and maybe he would even love a scone mix to go with the jam! If dad is a chef, we have cutting boards as well. Carrabassett coffees for those who love a good cup of coffee or Tempest in a Teapot teas for the tea drinkers. We are more than just a gift shop. We are Maine Made supporters of the incredible Craftsmen of our state.

A few more things to do before I leave for store. Enjoy your day your way and if you are lucky enough to have a dad still with you, cherish him and remind him how much you appreciate him. I would love to celebrate another Father's Day with my dad, but he has been gone 33 years now. I do have incredible memories, which is why I tell you to make the moments matter. People can never take your memories from you. Hugs and time to get it all done!!

Good morning and Happy Friday!! A store day and I am excited about it. I am looking forward to a day in my happy place. Today I am preparing our donations for the firefighters fundraiser. I am hoping our donations will help the many families who suffered during the horrific mill fire. Prayers to all who were involved and to those who came to save the day and paid in huge ways.

I am off to finish my daily chores. Remember Father's Day is this weekend and we have Rogues men's front pocket wallets, a nice selection of books for the readers among you, assorted chocolates and brittles and a portable ring toss game for the campers or outdoorsmen.

Enjoy your day and if out and about, stop off the beaten path for a fresh air experience of Maine Made both inside and out. Hugs for a day filled with things going your way!!

Good morning to all. Having just seen the weather forecast for today, I guess it is an inside day to accomplish things. I finished the last of mowing and it is almost time to start the rounds again. This weather of rain followed by heat sure does make things grow. Gardens are loving it. I went down and miracle gro'd the plants at store last night and with today's rain and a beautiful day tomorrow they will be so happy.

I will be so happy too as tomorrow I am back in store. Before I know it, it will be July 1st and I will be open 4 days a week. Of course I will be closed on the 4th. Next week starts with a pickup of items donated for the Firefighters Silent Auction, Tuesday having a small piece of skin removed, precaution more than anything, and a delivery of jam. By Thursday back to another doctor's appointment, which not looking forward to and gratefully back to my Happy Place by Friday. The week goes by quickly, so make sure to enjoy every moment you can.

Coffee time, feed the birds and then to decide what I am going to tackle first. Make your day special in your own way and I look forward to any who come to shop or just visit this weekend. My happy place can be your happy place too! Off to get it all done and see you tomorrow in the store!! Don't forget Father's Day is coming soon! We can help with picking out a gift!

I have a question for any of my consignors, would you be interested in donating something for the Silent Auction for the Morrill firefighters fundraiser? Kim Clarke has donated 4 pictures, I am making up a basket with an assortment of items to donate and if any want to add to basket it will surely be appreciated by the firefighters and families who suffered major injuries at the mill fire. Please let me know, I have to have all ready to go by 8 am on Monday. Thank you in advance to any who help with the donation!!

Good morning and welcome to June, half over! Time flies when you are busy. Our summer hours will be starting on July 1st. We will be open on Wednesdays thru Saturdays 9 to 4. For the rest of June, hours are Friday and Saturday 9 to 5. The store is luckily very cool on hot days and filled with such incredible talent that it is my happy place. When not inside I get to enjoy the outside front porch. Quiet, pleasant, filled with wildlife to watch and just relaxing. I realize Bonnie's Place is a bit off the beaten path, but as I tell people, Leprechauns don't park their treasure on main street, it is always hidden off the beaten path. And we are filled with Maine Made treasures from all over the state in one place just for you. Now because my job is to promote Maine Craftsmen, there are other shops along our immediate coast who do the same. Maine Artisans in Lincolnville is an example. I also hear we have a couple of new shops in Rockland and Camden as well. In this day and age buying local is important. Over 60% of your dollars spent in the community, stay in the community when shopping at locally owned stores.

It is the time of year where I am in super busy mode to get all my personal chores and special projects done before the store opens for more days. I do like being busy and being single makes the projects lists a bit longer to get through. I hope you are all enjoying the start to our summer season which officially begins June 21st. Make those moments matter and if out and about, stop in and enjoy the talents of so many Maine Craftsmen and find things for cats and dogs, babies, children and adults. And always Bixby Chocolates and Scone Goddess Scone Mixes, maybe with some Maine Maple Blueberry jam? Looking for a summer read? We have a great choice of Maine authors to choose from. We are a potpourri of pure Maine talent. Hope to see some of you soon and may it be a fun and pleasant summer season for all.

Happy Hump Day one and all. Looks like another beautiful day ahead. I had a change in plans for my afternoon yesterday, as all 3 cats at some point managed to throw up in my room in the past week. Shampooing carpet was more important than the mowing. Although I did get mowing done after the rug got cleaned. It's Hairball season, so brushing more to keep from them swallowing the fur as they clean. No different than kids in many ways.

I hope you all make it a day you enjoy and would repeat. I am back outside today hopefully getting some more things cut down. Clearing out between house and pond to let the sun get in there and dry it up. I am back in store on Friday and Saturday. Starting Wednesday, July 1st our new hours begin. I will be open Wednesdays thru Saturdays 9 to 4. I will be closed on July 4th!

What a difference a day makes. So glad I got so much work done outside yesterday. The gardens will appreciate the rain, and the rain will make me catch up on bookwork. Plus, I got word I need to go back to lab today for more work. No biggy. Doctors' checkup tomorrow and to go over all results. The month of June seems to be filled with appointments as I start getting older.

I hope you all enjoy the week ahead. Starting next month new days and hours begin. We will be open Wednesday thru Saturday, 9 to 4. I have been open until 5 since I opened and have yet to have anyone after 4, so seems a wise move. Our time is so precious the older we get. A break in the rain seems a good time to try and feed the birds. We had a skunk spray in the early morning hours, so all windows were closed in a hurry, and the rain has washed the smell away! Make the moments matter and enjoy your day!!

Good morning and welcome to Sunday hopefully a fun day. Cats are fed, laundry started, coffee made and getting ready to grab a cup and go water outside plants and feed the birds. Once time appropriate I need to mow the upper lawns.

Had a fun and delightful day at store yesterday. Fun customers and it's always a great day when my friend Courtney comes to visit. It was so great to see you and get hugs!! Those are the moments I cherish.

Well time to get it all done. Thank you to all who support Bonnie's Place and all the amazingly talented Craftsmen that make my happy place so mystical and just filled with good vibes.
