This shawl is worked in mosaic knitting with both stockinette and garter stitch. I really like the resulting texture, and how the stitches catch the light in different ways.

Ribbons twist and twirl as they run the length of this asymmetrical shawl. Worked with mosaic knitting, you’ll only need to use one color of yarn at a time.

This shawl combines mosaic color patterning with texture patterning. The main color is worked in garter stitch throughout, while the contrasting color is worked in smooth stockinette.

Yarn: I used A Hundred Ravens A Hundred Ravens Yaksha in Brown Bare and the Nimue gradient mini skein set. I'd never made anything with yak fiber before. Such a lovely, soft yarn!

The New York Sheep and Wool festival is the weekend of October 17-18 in Rhinebeck, NY. Classes are taught from October 15-18.

Last few days to take 20% off A Light Drizzle shawl pattern on Ravelry and Payhip (links in bio)!

I really loved how the crescent shape drapes around my neck -- increases along the top edge, but also in the lace patterning, help the body of the shawl flare outwards while the top edge stays relatively tight.

I never know how lace will block out, but this one turned out just as I wanted. 🥰

A Light Drizzle shawl pattern remains 20% off on Ravelry and Payhip through July 8!

This shawl has instructions for adding some beads along the bottom edge (though these are optional). Beads can add some extra color and shimmer to your knitting, and they also help with drape.

A Light Drizzle is a crescent shawl worked in all-over lace mesh interspersed with stockinette ‘raindrops.’ Optional beads accentuate the deep points along the bottom edge.

Wavy lines of brioche stitches travel up the edge of this asymmetrical shawl like kelp fronds buffeted by the ocean currents.
