How do I even begin to say this...
I know that many of our regular customers have noticed my health declining especially the last few weeks. I wanted to try to stay at S&S for 20 hours a week however, yesterday it was confirmed at my doctors appointment that I do have stomach cancer. As the doctor put it, I'm in for the roughest year of my life. I'm sorry to sound so blunt but even this morning, our conversation is stuck in my head.
I met with Rich last evening. Unfortunately I am leaving S&S Quick Stop just 6 weeks shy of my 7 year anniversary. Effective immediately. 😢
There are not enough words to say how much I hate leaving especially under these circumstances. My gratitude to Rich and this community cannot be put into words as right now, my heart is broken. 💔😢
S&S Quick Stop is my family and has been not a job, but a second home. I have had the pleasure of working for an amazing family and a community that I cherish. 💖
Thank you for all the wonderful years together ❤️ I am so grateful for the many people I have met and those of you who have become friends. I will miss you tremendously.
This is never how I imagined my leaving the gas station would be. I am beyond saddened that I couldn't be posting a joyful farewell.
If you are looking for a job with a wonderful atmosphere and working for one of the greatest men I have ever known, please stop by the store and talk to Rich. He is going to have to hire help fairly quickly.
For those of you who have personal contact with me, please don't hesitate to stay in touch. This community has been the highlight of my many days. I have laughed with you, cried with you, prayed with you and I can honestly say it has meant so very much to me to be a part of your lives.
Please keep me and my family in your prayers. 🙏
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
