24th Annual Great Lakes Star Gaze Event 🔭

Experience the dark skies of the Historic Ocqueoc Outdoor Center from September 10–13 during four nights of guided celestial viewing with professional astronomers. This weekend getaway is a dedicated fundraiser supporting the Friends of the Ocqueoc Outdoor Center and the ongoing restoration of the historic 1933 Civilian Conservation Corps camp.

Lodging & Pricing:
Bunkhouse Lodging (3 nights, limited availability): $120/adult
On-site Camping (3 nights): $90/adult
Both lodging options include a complimentary continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.
Optional Saturday Dinner (provided by Friends of the OOC): $10

Join the Rogers City Area Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting celebrating L.A.K.E. - Legacy Autism Knowledge & Empowerment, Inc.

Wednesday, September 9 at 11:00 AM

Can’t make the ribbon cutting? L.A.K.E. will also be hosting an Open House at 5:30 PM that evening, giving the community another chance to stop in, learn more, and help celebrate.

Come help us give L.A.K.E. a warm Rogers City welcome and celebrate the work they’re bringing to our community.

Murals On Main - Rogers City had some leftover cans of house paint from our visiting muralists, so we donated them to the Rogers City High School seniors to use for painting their senior parking spaces.

And apparently, we have quite a few talented mini muralists in the Class of 2027! 🎨

We love seeing all the personality, creativity, and talent our students brought to their spaces. From the designs to the details, they definitely made that parking lot their own.

Here are just a few of the finished spaces we had to share!

Today's a good day to slow down, enjoy the last stretch of summer, and appreciate the people who keep this town running... our local business owners, tradespeople, city crews, volunteers, and everyone who shows up to work hard for this community all year long.

The Friends of the Ocqueoc Outdoor Center are hosting their 24th Annual Great Lakes Star Gaze Event, September 10-13 at the Historic Ocqueoc Outdoor Center.

Guided night viewing with professional astronomers, tent camping or bunkhouse lodging available, and it all supports the ongoing restoration of a historic site with roots going back to a 1933 Civilian Conservation Corps camp.

Thanks to the Social District, you can have both.

Grab your drink from Pinewood Tavern, International Sports Bar, or Up North 23 Restaurant & Lounge, then take it with you around the district.

Looking for something to do this Labor Day weekend? We've got you covered.

We have TWO Scavnger hunts:
Our downtown scavenger hunt is still up and running, honor system, stop by the office (124 S Main St) for your sticker once you've found everything.

The Seagull Point scavenger hunt is going too, hosted by the Presque MSU Extension - Presque Isle County 4H Program. Encouraging outdoor exploration, education and appreciation for our plants, wildlife and beauty found along our Lake Huron shoreline.

Beyond that, our website has a whole list of things to do around Rogers City.
Grab the family, head downtown, and see how much you can fit in before Monday.

Hops in the Hole is coming to Westminster Park on Saturday, September 26th, and we need volunteers for shifts throughout the day for tasks like: set up/tear down, merch/additional ticket sales, taste pourers, front gate, etc...

Want to be there start to finish? Stack up as many shifts as you'd like, we're always "hoppy" to have you around all day.🍻

Hops in the Hole doesn't happen without volunteers like you, so thank you in advance!
