🚨Good morning! We need to announce that starting this weekend the store will be closed on Sundays!
There has been a lot of thought go into this decision and every way you slice it, I arrive at the same conclusion.
Being fully transparent, the last few years have taken their toll on me and my family and the health issues have been insurmountable. If it were just one thing that might be different. But it has been a long list of things with my own health that eventually led to me having a stroke last fall.
After not one, but two family members fell ill soon after, we just got devastating news yesterday about another.
I have personally worked every Saturday and Sunday for over two years. I have always considered it a privilege to be able to have employees and have the ability to give them the weekends with their families. I believe Sunday is a family day and now more than ever I want to cherish that time with my own family.
Figgi’s has a lot of wonderful changes coming and we have been making plans since 2022! It’s been a long road!
Most of you know that I ruptured my achilles, not once but twice in the last year. And after the second time and surgery, a sweet friend told me that God has been trying to teach me patience. I apparently didn’t learn the first time! 😅
We are called to be thankful and to focus on the goodness of God. There are blessings in every day, and all around us. I just need the extra time to feel refreshed and focus a little harder!
I am thankful for each one of you.
Several of you have been checking on my family daily, offering prayers and encouragement, hugs and even meals. You know who you are and just know that I consider you a blessing! I truly couldn’t have done any of this without you!
Have an amazing day everybody! Don’t stress over trivial things and remember to show up daily, and notice the little things. The small meaningful moments are often what matters most! ❤️
