Stitched2Last I make a line of Quilts, Pillow Shams, Oven Mitts, Fishing Rod Socks, and Baby Sets that are completely washable. Meant to use and abuse for a lifetime.

I use 100% cotton quilt or pillow panels and design original reversible quilts using a coordinated fabric on the back. I line them with 2 layers of Warm & Natural needled cotton and topstitch quilt them with a contrasting zig zag stitch. Most are one of a kind and I continually evolve and change making them prettier and better. I love to design potholders, baby bibs, fishing pole socks, picnic bas

kets and anything anyone wants. Each item is stitched 2 last and will be enjoyed for many years to come. I create every item by myself and each item is made with lots of love....

This summer’s creations. I haven’t been idol but my back kept me from clearing my entry. 67 potholders no joke! I’m really proud of my Dolphin Quilt. Had 2 shows in Ft Bragg this year that I cancelled so this quilt went unfinished for most of the year. I can’t commit to shows anymore because when my back rages I am totally disabled. Lots of hours spent in my sewing shop please come by.

I’m enjoying doing curtains but I have 2 orders of lined curtains. One I can cut off hem but these only need to come up 4” so I have to carefully take hem out. Luckily it’s 3 1/2” hem with 1/2” fold over so I have a cutting line without marking.

I had to put away the dolphin quilt several times. My build a quilt is all done except narrow strips on each side. I should be quilting it this week if all goes well. Back is better so hopefully I will be in Ft Bragg for Paul Bunyan on Labor Day weekend

When my back is bad it likes sewing so I’m in full swing. Replaced TV and set up my sewing shop the way I like it. My TV in my master bedroom where I do most of my sewing died so I moved to shop. I really enjoy it the best in nice weather. Have comfortable seats at each station making it easier to ice the back..

I cut and shrunk 9 yards of Insul Brite for potholders. More marks on my design boards for 3 yards showing they shrunk over 2“ each piece. One is all set to cut with potholders 2 each. Some are new designs. 78 total without any waste not even an inch! Dangerous for me to start folding my fabrics. Bird oven Mitts cut and ready.

The problem I have putting fabric away is all the new designs I see in my head! Bird goes both ways so oven mitts coming...

Ok I have to stop and eat. This few inches of space bothered me so now I will refill to 23” instead of 18. 18 fits buckets and lets me count the folds to know how many yards I have. It works great but not here. I’ll have a little calculating to do!

I didn’t take the side shelf runners off and move 3/8” but I probably will and cut new white shelves eventually. Have a closet in other room needs shelves. I plan to alphabetize my themes but need to get to paying jobs now!
