Today (Aug 30th) is Customer Appreciation Day! $1 small, $2 medium, and $3 large shaved ice. Our St James location will have 50 cent scoops of ice cream!
This will be our last day of the season at both locations. Hours will be Noon-5pm!

We wrap up Employee Appreciation Week by recognizing Kiara Sederburg at our Rolla location. Kiara will receive HALF of all sales in Rolla on Friday, August 7th. This is Kiara’s second summer working!

Kiara will be heading into her first year of college at Truman State University where she will major in Communications and minor in Education. She is planning to get a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Favorite Hobby: Hanging out with friends and being involved with her church
Favorite Shaved Ice: Cotton Candy
Favorite thing about this job: Tornado watching from the window. Kiara has been through just about every weather related scenario you could have in one season. We wouldn’t be surprised if it started snowing today!!

Employee Appreciation Week continues by highlighting Taniya Corley at our Rolla location. Taniya will receive HALF of all sales in Rolla on Thursday, August 6th!

Taniya graduated summa cm laude from Missouri Southern State University in December. This fall, she will begin pursuing her Master of Business Administration at Pittsburg State University. Previously, Taniya served as an assistant coach for the Crowder College women’s basketball team for two years. She is excited to begin her first year as a middle school math teacher while also coaching middle school and high school girls basketball in Vienna. This is Taniya’s FOURTH summer working!!

Favorite Hobby: Going on walks with her family and friends.
Favorite Shaved Ice: Tiger’s Blood, Blue Raspberry, and Cotton Candy (in stripes) with sour spray!
Favorite Thing About This Job: Getting to see kids and adults hurry over to the serving window full of excitement to order their favorite treat. She also really enjoys working with the sweetest group of girls!

Next up for Employee Appreciation Week is Kendall Langley at our Rolla location. Kendall will receive HALF of all sales in Rolla on Wednesday, August 5th. This is Kendall’s third summer working!

Kendall will be a first year student studying English at Saint Louis University this fall. Her dream job is a book editor. She hopes to be involved in SLU’s student paper and run club.

We’ve posted this sign at both locations. We are doing everything we can to keep the honeybees away. We thought we found a magical spray formula that worked GREAT for two weeks…now they act like they love the spray??? We tried something new in Rolla yesterday. If it works, we will do it in St. James. The only thing we haven’t tried is an open container of sugar water off to the side that is easy for them to get to. Ideally, they would go there because it’s easy and leave everything else alone, but many Beekeepers have said it may attract even more honeybees. It’s a never ending struggle at this point. Thank you all for being patient with us. They are typically the least active from noon - 3pm and about 7:30pm - 10:00pm.
