Sorry friends, I forgot to share to this page the other day that Carl came back Saturday morning!

Guess who! Carl was found safe behind the theater this morning. Thank you to everyone who helped in the search! We are aware of how he escaped and are going to seal things right up.

Wow, what a whirlwind of a week! Capitolfest, CNY's 35mm Silent and Early Talkie Film Festival went off, mostly without hitches. The Dealers Room was the first major event to make place in the bookshop building in a year!

We had several wonderful dealers with movie memorabilia, books, DVDs, films, and more. We had two special events: one with film historian and author Manny Pacheco, and a book signing with Laura Jerrolds, the author of "Laura La Plante: Silent Cinderella." It really got us feeling connected to our cinephile roots!

The Dealer's Room for this year's Capitolfest, CNY's 35mm Silent and Early Talkie Film Festival is taking shape! It will be held in the bookshop building this week, Thursday through Sunday. Several more vendors will be arriving. Thousands of records, books, and movie posters/stills are available!

Hours are:
Thursday - 5:15 PM-7:30 PM
Friday - 9:00 AM-7:00 PM
Saturday - 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Sunday - 9:00 AM-3:30 PM

We are a little late posting, but we had a wonderful time at this year's Jewtica: A Jewish Cultural Festival! It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones. We got to sell some books as well!

This week, we've been taking some time to tidy up the building! Most of the furniture has been moved to either the back room or the back portion of the building. The main space will be used for Capitol Theatre rehearsals and programming in the coming months. Building repairs will take place gradually.
