I'm mad for plaid! Looking for a few test knitters for Burr Oak, my new knitted plaid scarf. We're playing with light and shadow as well as color changes, and use garter stitch, mosaic, and a bit of brioche. Interested? Ophelia! New and knitworthy, although not for the faint of heart. Sample was knit in collaboration with Spincycle ... Sunday Knits Eden 3 ply in the background, and Spincycle Nocturne and DITW colors for the pattern. Both yarns work up at the same gauge, and while they are polar opposites in temperament ... mine soft and hazy, theirs crisp and distinct, throw them together and they sing like a pair of love birds. Top down, stranded, in the round. Main-color-only as well as full kits available on my website.

Top Up Bottom Down. I do like everything about my new tunic pattern ... afterthought pockets, dramatic cable decreases, top up bottom down construction. But I'm especially gaga about the jog-free stranded colorwork. I use a candy-cane stripe method so that one row just leads into the next. I think you're going to love it!
