Parker Bark is currently seeking a Yard Laborer to assist with daily operations throughout our facility. This is a hands-on, outdoor position that involves supporting production, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, assisting equipment operators, and performing general labor tasks as needed.

Candidates must be dependable, hardworking, and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Applicants must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, walk and work on uneven terrain and hills, and be comfortable getting dirty while performing daily tasks. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help wherever needed are essential for success in this role.

We are heartbroken to share with our Parker Bark family that our beloved office cat, Sophie, has passed away.

Sophie came into our lives 13 years ago as one of our very first rescues—and one of our first “foster fails.” We fell in love with her instantly, and she chose us right back. She was deeply loving, gentle, and happiest surrounded by people: greeting countless visitors over the years and filling our space with warmth and joy. Truly one of the sweetest souls we’ve ever known, Sophie was always purring—right up until the very end.

Parker Bark was her home. We once tried bringing her home with us, but it quickly became clear that her place was here, with her people. This was her family, and she made it feel like home for all of us.

Sophie also leaves behind her “sister,” Cleo, our bobtail rescue who became another happy foster fail thanks to Sophie “choosing” her. The bond they shared was so special, and we know Cleo will feel this loss just as deeply as we do.

Parker Bark will not feel the same without Sophie, and we will miss her more than words can say. In her honor, we will continue the rescue and fostering work that she was such a quiet but important part of throughout her life.

Thank you, Sophie, for every purr, every greeting, and every moment of love you gave us. We were so lucky to be yours.
