It appears that I will need HELP from everyone in Roseburg.

The city wants to put DELUXE homeless camps with their own toilets right on South Stephens. This is the main drag on HWY 99 through our downtown. They already make camps in the alleys, we do not need to put several FULL BLOWN homeless camps front and center for everyone to see.

Any further deterioration of Roseburgs downtown is unacceptable. Anyone close to the Rose Hotel and the Roseburg Mission already have problems. I own the TIM'S OUTLET STORE at 744 SE Stephens. We already have to ask people to leave the ally behind the Outlet Store many times per week. For fun they throw rocks on the new roof and punctured the membrane causing leaks. This does not include the needles and waste that we have to take to the dump.

NOW, one of these sites in review is right between TIM'S Outlet Store and the old Beauty College. That is going to plummet the value of every property on Stephens. It will badly hurt the businesses still operating down town. People will just stay on I5 and skip hwy 99 altogether.

PLEASE CALL OUR CITY COUNCIL and say NO city run homeless camps in Roseburg. If we start putting out bathrooms and more deluxe accommodations, these camps will grow out of control so quick. Especially on highly exposed, and highly visible areas of Roseburg, what a reputation to start.

Please get involved. Send a message that we need to DISCOURAGE homelessness in our city, NOT ENCOURAGE them to stay.

I was feeling nostalgic this morning. Here is an old post of Tim's Appliance Warehouse when we bought it in 2003.

I wish that I had kept a picture of the first delivery truck. A costume shop was renting the end of the building and my warehouse was between.
