A drill bit is a cutting tool designed to create or enlarge holes in a variety of materials, such as metal, wood, plastic, masonry, and composites. It is used with a hand drill, drill press, or other drilling machine.

How a drill bit works
-The drill rotates the bit at high speed.
-The cutting edges at the tip remove material.
-The flutes (spiral grooves) carry chips out of the hole.
-The result is a clean, accurately sized hole.

Drill bits are manufactured from materials such as:
-High-Speed Steel (HSS) – General-purpose drilling.
-Cobalt – Excellent for hard metals like stainless steel.
-Carbide – Extremely hard and durable for masonry and production machining.
