Something for the history books: One day back in 2009, I was at the B st skatepark. Some skate team was in town and did a signing at the shop then a demo at the park. I don’t recall what team. I ran into Justin “Ears” Williams, who at the time was heading up Force Trucks. Justin is a veteran inside the business side of skateboarding and one of the greatest ambassadors to skateboarding you could ever meet. I think everyone in skate biz knows . We were watching a very talented kid and Justin said he’s hooking him up with Force Trucks then introduced me to the 12 year old. It was . I called our skate team manager, , and he came to the park to see this little ripper with the skills of advanced skateboarder. Miles joined the team, toured with the guys, won contests, and collected sponsorships until much of the team disbanded 2 and a half years later. Here are several pics of that era including Miles. Pics also include James Higgens, Jesse Archuleta, Mako Urabe, Kennedy Nguyen, Miika Adamov, Andrew Dellas, and myself. All pics are by the best photographer you’re not following (but you really should). It’s been amazing watching Miles grow into being an elite professional skateboarder. Couldn’t happen to a better dude. More so, it’s been an incredible and rewarding experience to help skateboarders achieve even a glimpse of greatness over the years. Every skate team member has meant a lot to me. ————————-
