My high school sweetheart and I married a few years ago, after more than 25 years of living separate lives. With our high school past of economic struggles in our families, we came from a background of “making do with what you got” and “don’t waste anything”. So, when we combined households and purchased a home a few years ago, we could not bear to see items thrown away just because they needed a

little work or love. My talents and skills as an artist, craftsman and DIY’er seemed to be a nice compliment. Our first project of all things was a condo. (Go big or go home)! It turned out to be a full on repair/rebuild, renovation and remodeling job. We did the work ourselves, and learned our business roles. I’m the CEO and CFO, he is the COO, and both of us are the laborers. We knew that doing a restoration business would be a blast. The physical investment though was a bit much for us to do condos and houses, so we decided to work on smaller items. We love to go to antique stores, thrift stores, yard sales, etc. and finding items that have history, uniqueness, or just ‘talks to us’. Then, with a little love, creativity, and a bit of sweat, breathe new life into them.
