𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘆.

We became what we saw.

We repeated what we were taught.

We made choices we wish we could take back.

But at some point, the cycle has to stop with somebody.

Heal. Grow. Lead differently.

Then turn around and become the voice, the example, the mentor, the second chance that somebody else needs.

Your past may explain you.

It doesn't have to define you.

Become who you needed.

Then go find somebody who needs you. 🦁

Eight years of learning that you can fall hard and still rise.

You can lose yourself and find purpose.

You can carry scars and still lead.

You can have a past and still have one hell of a future.

Lion Tribe was built around a simple belief:

What you've been through doesn't have to destroy you. It can develop you.

So if you're in the middle of your own fight right now, keep going.

There's more in you.

There's more ahead.

Awaken the Lion.

𝙇𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙏𝙍𝙄𝘽𝙀 𝙄𝙎 𝙀𝙑𝙊𝙇𝙑𝙄𝙉𝙂. 🦁

When I started Lion Tribe in 2020, much of what we built centered around fitness, strength, discipline and the lion mentality.

I'm proud of that foundation.

But I've realized the mission was always bigger than the gym.

Because not every chain is made of steel.

Some chains are addiction.
Some are incarceration.
Some are our past.
Some are fear, shame, poor decisions and believing we can never become more than we've been.

Lion Tribe is about breaking those chains.

Moving forward, our mission will center around three things:

🦁 𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙀𝘿𝙊𝙈 — recovery, reentry and second chances.
🦁 𝙇𝙀𝘼𝘿𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙋 — developing people who lead themselves and others well.
🦁 𝙇𝙀𝙂𝘼𝘾𝙔 — using what we've overcome to help someone else rise.

And to those who've been with Lion Tribe from the fitness days:

𝙁𝙞𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚.

It's part of our foundation. We're simply taking that same strength, discipline and lion mentality beyond the walls of the gym.

Because strength isn't only about what you can lift.

It's also about what you can overcome.

We're not leaving behind where we came from.

We're building on it.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲! 🦁

After nearly eight years away from speaking and facilitating in this capacity, today I stepped forward again.

Not to go backward.

Not to recreate the past.

But to build from everything the journey has taught me.

Awaken the Lion: Discovering the Leader Within was about more than leadership.

We talked about identity, accountability, resilience, purpose, family and legacy.

And the conversations reminded me why this work matters.

This was the first one.

There’s a lot to learn. A lot to build.
And we’re just getting started.

Grateful to everyone who showed up, and to Hechos 29 Round Lake for opening their doors, Orale Cafe for the coffee.

Lead yourself. Lead others. Leave a legacy.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗺𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱!

Standing in front of the courthouse and the county jail today felt unreal… because years ago, I stood in places like this carrying shame, anger, and poor decisions.

But today was different.

Today represented growth. Healing. Redemption.

The judge shared some incredibly encouraging words with me that I’ll never forget. Not because they erased my past — but because they recognized the man I’ve worked to become.

This moment is bigger than me.
It’s for every person who thinks their mistakes define them forever. They don’t.

Lion Tribe was built on this principle:
No matter how hard life hits you, you can rebuild yourself mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Your past may explain you… but it does not have to imprison you. 🦁

Thank you to everyone who stood beside me and supported me through this journey. This is only the beginning.
