Moms - I am really curious, how was your lactation consultant/breastfeeding education after giving birth?

I was talking to a friend about my experience and learned that we had similar experiences. Nothing against LCs in the hospital I know they get pulled in every which way and don’t have a lot of time. But my experience was subpar both times.

I would love to hear your story! Did you have a good experience? I’d love to know why and what you felt was the thing that made it good.

Moms I have a question for you, before I ask it let me tell you a story….

It’s discharge from the hospital day. I put my tiny 7lb baby in the car barely big enough to fit in his car seat.

The hospital is only a 10 minute drive from my house, 10 MINUTES. As soon as I got it the car and we start to drive off my heart start racing and my intrusive thoughts take over.

What if we get hit by a car. We’re so close to home and no one knows I have my tiny newborn in the car, they’re just going about their regular day to day. What if they’re in a rush and blow through a red light and hit us?!

The thoughts that were running through my mind had me in a panic! Needless to say we made it home.

I know I’m not the first person this has happened to. And in motherhood, if it was your first baby or your last baby no mom is safe from her mind taking you to the land of intrusive thinking.

If you’ve made it this far you know what I’m talking about, my question to you mama, is what was your story?

I’d like to start a thread of “thoughts you’re not alone in”
