The Super Bowl happened.
Bad Bunny performed.
And my jeweler brain immediately said, cool, but what would the jewelry have looked like if I was in charge?
So welcome to my imaginary halftime history lesson ✨
First, a Puerto Rico flag brooch, reimagined the way I design everything, through an Art Deco lens. Think milgrain, filigree, fancy-cut stones, heritage but make it intentional. Less souvenir, more heirloom energy.
On the back, I’d engrave symbolic motifs pulled from La Borinqueña, a quiet love letter to Puerto Rico. A blooming flower garden, rolling sea waves, the sun rising. The kind of details only you know are there, but they matter the most.
Then we needed a little edge. A little swagger. A bad bunny for our Bad Bunny. Diamond pendant, fully iced Cuban link, hip-hop inspired but still elevated. Loud in presence, calm in confidence. The kind of piece that doesn’t ask for attention, it already has it.
And finally, because this felt bigger than a game, the Benito Bowl ring. Championship-style, with an Old English B front and center, an artist nod, Detroittttt energy forever. Around the band, embossed motifs like a Super Bowl ring, a small Grammy motif + more personalized life accomplishment motifs, and a rainbow of colored gemstones set in every shade found across the flags of the Americas. Finished, of course, with milgrain detailing… because duh.
None of this existed.
Except in my head.
And now here.
Sometimes being a jeweler means watching culture happen and quietly thinking, I would’ve done that differently.
