The spring hook is the smallest part of a Flute. There are 4 types of spring hooks and they are used depending on the spring thickness and attachment position.
You can see how small they are by comparing them with the trill key cup shown on the right in the photo.
By adjusting the spring thickness and tension to suit the key mechanism, you can achieve a natural and stable key action.
