We adore curious visitors to our booth at Ruckersville Gallery
A memento mori—Latin for “remember you will die”—is a practice, object, or artwork created to remind us that we will die, and that our death could come at any moment. Some of these unique art pieces can consist of utilizing symbols with uniquely personal items to the creator such as fabric, photos, books, jewelry, flowers, hair.
For example:
preserving the flowers that sat on top of the casket of your infant child in a shadow box.
A perfect example of a Memento Mori.
