Just posting the trends. This one is almost satire EXCEPT take note: Subsidies 🤑

Four horses have died at Parx Racing in just nine days. The latest three deaths all occurred within one hour on Monday, October 13th.

The victims were Awesome Cause, just two years old, making her racing debut; Grahmalamadingdong, 5; Keeping It Country, 7; and First Money, 6.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania taxpayers continue to subsidize the horseracing industry to the tune of $200 million annually—nearly $4 billion since 2004. A total of 23 horses have died at Parx this year, and 1,062 have died at Pennsylvania tracks since 2014.

How many more horses must die while taxpayer money keeps this industry going?
