Do you know where your beef comes from?

Store-bought ground beef is often a blend from many animals, raised on many farms, sometimes in different places or even different countries. By the time it’s in the package, there’s no way to trace it back.

Ours starts and ends on our family farm. At Spring Lake Cattle, our Piedmontese cattle are raised by us from birth to burger.

Here is what that means:

Happy Father’s Day to the Fathers that make Spring Lake Cattle run! These guys are not only great cattleman but also great fathers as well.

*Steve is a father of 4 and grandfather of 16. With over 60 years in the cattle/dairy business, he’s a workhorse that can outwork anyone half his age.

*Brandon is a father of 4 and is Steve’s son-in-law. He’s been in the dairy/cattle business for over 40 years and is the man behind all the genetics and the books. Both Brandon and Steve also log lots of tractor time as well.

*Layne is a father of 4 and a grandfather of 12. He also boasts 50+ years in the cattle/dairy business. He’s the chief reproduction specialist and spends a lot of time behind the cows. Layne and Steve are also brother-in-laws. This truly is a family business!
