Thyme & Treasures is adding another wonderful shopping destination to Rushville, offering affordable, quality gifts paired with personalized customer service. Whether you're looking for toys, baby gifts, kitchen items, faith-based products, handmade quilts and baby blankets crafted by local artisans, or an expanding selection of gifts for the men in your life, you'll find something for every occasion. They also offer gift basket assembly, seasonal gift wrapping, and plan to feature a different local maker each month, giving fellow small businesses and home-based entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their products.

One of the things we love most about this business is the opportunity it's creating for the next generation. At just 18 years old, Addison, a senior in high school, is already learning what it takes to run a small business. From helping customers find the perfect gift to learning merchandising, inventory management, and the behind-the-scenes responsibilities of retail, she's gaining hands-on experience that many people don't receive until years later.

Addison has already earned her dental certificate and is currently completing her medical assistant certification while exploring plans to attend Ball State University, where she's considering taking business classes. She's building valuable skills that will serve her for years to come and stories like Addison's remind us that the future of Rush County is bright! We love seeing young people step into the world of entrepreneurship, and we couldn't be more excited to watch her grow alongside this new business.

The family's vision extends far beyond their own business, though. As they grow, they hope to create opportunities for other young adults to gain meaningful work experience, develop confidence, and learn the skills that come with serving customers and operating a small business.

We're thrilled to welcome Thyme & Treasures to the Rush County Chamber family! We encourage everyone to stop in, say hello, browse their unique selection of gifts, and support another local business that's investing not only in our community, but in its future as well.
