This year we have decided to close all the J&K stores on July 4th so my employees can enjoy the 250th birthday of our country. I was reminded by a few folks that it’s a Saturday which is normally the busiest shopping day. Sometimes you have to forget about the business you might miss and think about how few Saturdays my employees get off. You know retail demands Saturday and Holiday work especially when you work for a big company. Thank goodness we are a small company and I can close when I want to! 😜😜😜

It’s kind of weird for 30+ years we opened on all holidays except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter while everyone else closed. Now it’s reversed. Shops that I know were always closed on major holidays are now open. I am glad they are open this year so our customers can have a back up plan.
