Hi, I'm Chelsea, the founder, curator, and visionary behind Sacred Minerals.

My love for crystals began at a young age. I collected them in my treasure box and even wanted to be a geologist for a time but life had a way of dimming my light and connection to magic... until I was fortunate to find transformational festivals and began to explore consciousness beyond what I was learning at UCSB studying psychology & sociology. I felt I had tapped into a renaissance as I finally felt at home exploring the many layers of this reality beyond what meets the eye.

The crystals were the first place that I felt safe enough to truly open my energy. I didn't know I was a highly sensitive empath... or that I was an introvert. I honestly just thought there was something wrong with me that interacting with people felt draining but when I sat with crystals and let myself get quiet enough to listen... something magical happened.

I began to feel their energy. I lowkey thought I was going a little nuts because I could understand the frequencies of the stones and translate it into English. So, being trained in psychology, I started running my own experiments to test what I was learning from the stones. I would sit with a stone, do what I now know is clear + activate them, and then tune in to ask what their energy was about. I did this with stones that I had never learned about and then looked up their descriptions in books (yes this is that long ago that I used books & not google or chat gpt lol) and lo & behold, I was discovering the same things that others were also writing about with these crystals. I was blown away and knew there was something to this.

This was the beginning of a beautiful journey with the stones a piece of the puzzle that eventually led to Sacred Minerals. This business is very heart led & Gaia aligned. It is a deep honor to get to be a steward of the crystals, a voice for the Earth, and a curator of community.

Just like us, crystals appreciate a fresh start.

Whether they’ve been held through grief, celebrated with during life’s biggest moments, or simply sat quietly on your altar collecting dust, cleansing is a beautiful way to reconnect with them and set fresh intentions.

Here are some of my favorite ways:

🌕 Full Moon
Perfect when you want a big reset. Moonlight feels nourishing, restorative, and especially beautiful for crystals you work with emotionally or spiritually.

🌿 Sacred Smoke
One of my favorite everyday rituals. Pass your crystals through the smoke of ethically sourced herbs or incense to clear stagnant energy before meditation, after a difficult day, or whenever they feel ready for a reset.

☀️ Sunlight
Beautiful for crystals that embody vitality, confidence, and action. A little morning or late afternoon sun can feel incredibly energizing. Just remember that some crystals can fade in prolonged direct sunlight.

🌎 The Earth
When a crystal has been working hard alongside you, placing it back on the earth feels like returning it home. It’s one of my favorite ways to deeply ground and restore its natural rhythm.

🔔 Sound
Singing bowls, bells, chimes, chanting, or even your favorite music can gently cleanse a crystal without physically touching it. I especially love this for fragile specimens and large collections.

💧 Sacred Waters
If you live near the ocean, a spring, or another body of water that feels meaningful, allowing water-safe crystals to be kissed by those waters can be a beautiful ritual of release and renewal. Salt water is also an option for certain crystals, but always make sure your crystal is water-safe first.

There isn’t one “right” way.

Choose the ritual that matches the season you’re in. Sometimes your crystals want the moon. Sometimes they want the earth. Sometimes they just want a quiet moment with you.
