At Goodwill, job skills training is about helping people reach their fullest potential, wherever their career path may lead.
Like many people entering the workforce, Tanner faced a common challenge: finding a job without prior experience.
Through Goodwill, Tanner gained hands-on experience and developed valuable workplace skills in multiple areas, including the sales floor and warehouse. He learned organization, stocking, product placement, and how to help maintain a safe environment for customers.
With new skills and greater confidence, Tanner was ready to take his next career step. Today, he works as a package handler at FedEx.
When asked what advice he would give someone considering Goodwill, Tanner shared: “It would be a good idea to join Goodwill because you can improve your skills, gain new ones, and use them in other jobs.”
