Light up by lifting up.

At Faven, “light up” means spreading good energy, building each other up, and showing up for our community.

As a Sacramento-based company, we’re proud to put that spirit into action. All proceeds from our “Light Up by Lifting Up” shirt will go to Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation, a local nonprofit providing breast cancer testing, education, advocacy, and compassionate support in the greater Sacramento area.

Faven has been running trials for some time, guided by cultivator feedback, bro science, and what we were seeing firsthand. We had observations we wanted to test, but we didn’t always have the tools to quantify the results. Bringing Dr. Jon Karall onto our team has allowed us to take that work further, facilitating controlled trials, collecting meaningful data, and turning the results into information that cultivators can actually use.

Today, we filmed the first trial in our new YouTube series, Cultivation Theory, exploring how fixture orientation impacts performance.

This series is rooted in transparency. We’re doing the work so growers can make more informed decisions without having to test every variable themselves, and we’re committed to sharing what we find along the way: the good, the bad, the ugly, and even the mediocre.

No cherry-picking. Just real trials, honest results, and more knowledge shared with the cultivation community.

First up: fixture orientation. Stay tuned.

Final update from Room 4! This trial was 5 different far red applications both end of day and during lights on. All 5 benches ran Blue Zushi 🍣 Peep the slides to see how each table looked at harvest.

Jon hit the stage at Acceleration Day in the Netherlands, sharing updates from our latest under canopy trials and what the Faven team has been working on.

Seeing our lights and the results of their greenhouse trials was a highlight. Third-party validation plays an important role in proving what our products can do!
