🇵🇪❤️ A DECISION WE NEVER WOULD HAVE WANTED TO MAKE

Today, we want to share with you part of the story behind our decision to close our Old Sacramento location.

For approximately 18 months, we faced serious problems with the air conditioning. Despite communicating the situation repeatedly and receiving promises that it would be resolved, the problem was never fixed.

The extreme heat often forced us to reduce our hours and close in the afternoons, affecting our employees, customers, sales, and, of course, our finances.

And all of this happened at a time when the economy has been especially difficult for small businesses. For an entrepreneur or a business that is still growing, every hour of operation, every customer, and every sale counts. We do not have the same resources as a large company to absorb months of losses or keep a business operating normally when there are problems that directly affect its operations.

As an entrepreneur and someone who loves my work and my culture, I have always tried to turn challenges into opportunities. Looking for new alternatives to strengthen our business, I accepted the opportunity to open a second store in Carmichael.

❤️ And that is how Mi Tiendita Munaycha – Carmichael was born.

This new location is already partially operating, and we hope, with the support of our community, to be able to open all week very soon.

However, the situation in Old Sacramento did not improve. On the contrary, during the hottest days, temperatures reached the triple digits, forcing us to close in the afternoons and on the slower days.

After 18 months of waiting for a solution, we reached the point where continuing under those conditions was no longer sustainable.

A small business cannot survive on promises alone.

We believe that small businesses need more support, understanding, and consideration. Behind every small shop are people, families, dreams, sacrifices, and an incredible amount of hard work. ❤️

That is why we made the difficult decision to close Old Sacramento and begin a new chapter in Carmichael.

We are not sharing this to create conflict or to attack anyone. We are sharing it because you have been part of our story, and you deserve to know why we are leaving.

🇵🇪❤️ UNA DECISIÓN QUE NUNCA HUBIÉRAMOS QUERIDO TOMAR
Hoy queremos compartir con ustedes una parte de la historia detrás de nuestra decisión de cerrar nuestra ubicación de Old Sacramento.
Durante aproximadamente 18 meses, enfrentamos serios problemas con el aire acondicionado. A pesar de haber comunicado la situación en repetidas ocasiones y de recibir promesas de que sería solucionada, el problema nunca fue resuelto.
El calor extremo nos obligó muchas veces a reducir nuestros horarios y cerrar por las tardes, afectando a nuestros empleados, clientes, ventas y, por supuesto, nuestras finanzas.
Y todo esto ocurrió en un momento en el que la economía está siendo especialmente difícil para los pequeños negocios. Para un emprendedor o un negocio que todavía está creciendo, cada hora de operación, cada cliente y cada venta cuentan. No contamos con los mismos recursos que una empresa grande para absorber meses de pérdidas o mantener un negocio funcionando normalmente cuando existen problemas que afectan directamente la operación.
Como emprendedora y amante de mi trabajo y de mi cultura, siempre he tratado de convertir los desafíos en oportunidades. Buscando nuevas alternativas para fortalecer nuestro negocio, acepté la oportunidad de abrir una segunda tienda en Carmichael.
❤️ Y así nació Mi Tiendita Munaycha – Carmichael.
Esta nueva ubicación ya está funcionando parcialmente y esperamos, con el apoyo de nuestra comunidad, poder abrir toda la semana muy pronto.
Sin embargo, la situación en Old Sacramento no mejoró. Al contrario, durante los días más calurosos las temperaturas llegaron a los tres dígitos, obligándonos a cerrar por las tardes y en los días de menor movimiento.
Después de 18 meses esperando una solución, llegamos al punto en que continuar en esas condiciones ya no era sostenible.
Un pequeño negocio no puede sobrevivir solamente de promesas.
Creemos que los pequeños negocios necesitan más apoyo, comprensión y consideración. Detrás de cada pequeña tienda hay personas, familias, sueños, sacrificios y muchísimo trabajo. ❤️
Por eso tomamos la difícil decisión de cerrar Old Sacramento y comenzar una nueva etapa en Carmichael.
No compartimos esto para crear conflictos ni para atacar a nadie. Lo compartimos porque ustedes han sido parte de nuestra historia y merecen saber por qué nos vamos.
