MOQ is one of the MOST misunderstood parts of buying wholesale. There isn’t one magical number that means you’re officially “buying wholesale.” On Faire: you might have to buy products in sets AND meet a minimum dollar amount before you can check out. On Alibaba: A supplier might have an MOQ of 1, 50, 500, 1,000 or 10,000+ units. Alibaba and Faire you’re dealing with individual businesses… (and on Alibaba…. factories, manufacturers, trading companies, wholesalers and retailers) Each one decides what quantities make sense for their business.
