SHAMc partnered with the Clearwater Free Clinic to create a mosaic project that will be installed on site at CFC. Led by SHAMc Co-Founder and mosaic artist Heather Richardson, along with volunteers and patients over the course of a month, the project showcases the intersection of medicine, wellness, and visual expression. The piece was revealed at a ribbon-cutting ceremony last Thursday, October 8! The last step for this project is for us to grout it. This is the beginning of an ongoing partnership between SHAMc and CFC. We can’t wait to see what we dream up next!

Ellie, our mascot, was created over a decade ago by local artist Kumpa. She’s started to show some wear and tear from Florida storms and sun. We want to fiberglass her to ensure she’ll be here for years to come!

We’re currently at 30% of our goal! Every donation counts- You can donate online at https://ellie.shamc.org OR donate in-person at The ARTery Boutique*!

*Get a FREE Save Ellie sticker for your donation of $5 or more at SHAMc!

Spread the word- Help us SAVE ELLIE!

SHAMc’s Director, Autumn Pearson, is also as Artist-In-Residence at Enterprise High School. Last week, her two worlds merged when her students visited SHAMc and WhimZeyLand on a much-anticipated field trip. Students were treated to not only a view of both facilities, but also behind-the-scenes tours.
