Just checked spot price for silver and gold. Silver is at $65.39 per Troy Ounce, while gold is at $4371.59 per Troy Ounce. While prices have been very volatile over the past six months or so, I think many would agree that buying silver or gold (or both) with a three or more year horizon is not a bad idea as a hedge against inflation and a store of ready, highly liquid wealth.
An unexpected bill, say an A/C repair in the heat of summer--between paydays--might be covered by selling say 10 ounces of silver. Better than charging to a credit card which charges 20% plus interest.
Just a thought.

Today, August 13th, is (among other things):
A) National Lefthanders Day;
B) National Filet Mignon Day; and;
C) National Prosecco Day.

And on a lighter note:
What do you get from a pampered cow? Spoiled milk.

Have a great day!!!!

Today is World Elephant Day!!!🐘🐘🐘
Fun fact😆: Elephants make deep sounds that travel through the ground. Other elephants feel these vibrations with their feet. Also When elephants are happy, they make a soft rumbling sound in their throat just like a cat. how cool is that ?!

Connie and I saw Young Washington at Victory Theater.
An excellent portrayal of George Washington's first experience as a commander in battle. All the behind the scenes pressures and problems.
Later these experiences would make him the man who lead a small group of "colonials" to defeat the most powerful military on earth.
I think this show well worth seeing.
