Quiet mornings in the garden are the best ❤️

Porch flowers this morning are a refresh of some of the wedding flowers from this weekend…fresh cut, fresh water, a few fresh stems to bulk up these beauties for you to enjoy for the next several days. Priced to reflect that they are already a few days into their vase life. But they should last at least until the end of the work week.

And one picture of the cutest little monarch caterpillar who hatched on a stem of swamp milkw**d I harvested last week. A sweet little reminder of the beauty of the circle of life 🦋

As the mother of the bride and the frantic florist, I didn’t have a chance to take too many pictures. But here are just a few snapshots of what ended up being a lovely combination of blooms to compliment a beautiful wedding. Many thanks to birchrunblooms for my favorite Oklahoma Salmon zinnias that provided the perfect pop of peach. And Wild Hart Acres for some dancing cosmos stems. And Yockey Farm for the beautiful dahlia blooms that were exactly what I needed for the bouquets 💕

**Because of the busyness of this weekend, I will not be bringing flowers to the Thomas Township Farmers Market tomorrow**

However, if you need your flower fix this week 😉 reorganized leftover wedding flowers are definitely a possibility for Monday porch flowers. And I’ll be harvesting fresh stems for Tuesday. While I was preoccupied with a wedding, lots more of my cosmos and zinnias started blooming!

It’s an early morning harvest of flowers for a wedding weekend 💕 There’s very little to harvest in my own garden as I have lots of cosmos, lisianthus, and zinnia buds, but very few that are blooming. But a lifetime of making do with the limited resources I have has prepared me for days like these 😉

With the lack of focal flowers, the porch flower offerings are just a few vases this morning. Sunflowers and lemon basil foliage is one of my favorite combinations 🍋 and you get just a whiff of that fresh lemon scent with these beauties!

Happy Last Week of July!

Another great market yesterday (thank you flower friends 💕) But I do have 3 larger sunflower arrangements left if you missed the market and need some sunshine this week ☀️🌻😊 Plus I’m pulling together a few more pint jar arrangements with leftover flowers for this morning.

It’s a really busy week in the Sleeping Bee household as we have a wedding on Saturday 💗 Lots and lots of flowers to be prepped for that!

So the flower porch will have lovely vase arrangements and bunches today, Wednesday, and Thursday only…the rest of the week is all wedding prep 🤗 Need a special order in the next couple of days? Let me know! Beyond that, I’ll be a little preoccupied 😉

It’s another 🌻💕 at the Thomas Township Farmers Market! Lots of beautiful vase and jar arrangements to choose from today, plus mixed bouquets featuring sunflowers and snapdragons

New things blooming include these Lemon Lite and Peach sunflowers and a new-to-me filler called blue lace flower. Cosmos are finally starting to send up blooms, and I have some beautifully intense shades of pink, fuchsia, orange and gold celosia plumes this year. So fun 🤩

4-7pm at Roberts Park, rain or shine ☀️⛈️ See you there!

Several vase arrangements are on the porch this morning, with a few wrapped mixed bouquets and snapdragon bundles coming by 9am. Enjoy this beautiful Wednesday!

Woo Hoo 🎉 🤩💕 Thanks to Sophie who dashed in at 6:55 last night and bought my last vase and wrapped bouquet, I officially sold out at the market!!! It was such a great night with so many vendors selling loads of produce, baked goods, flowers, and other locally produced goods thanks to all of you who ❤️ This Thomas Township Farmers Market community really is the best!

While I sold out all I brought to the market, I still had lots of flowers left to make up a few more vases for the porch this morning. And I’m headed out to harvest and w**d and water (but hoping for the predicted rain!) Wednesday morning porch flowers will be your last opportunity to grab some garden-grown beauties this week 🌻🌸🌼

It is going to be a very colorful 🌈💕🎉 at the Thomas Township Farmers Market!

Not only are the mid-summer flowers in full-spectrum shades, but I’ve pulled out all my colored vases for these market arrangements. So many of these vases have been donated by my flower friends, and I’ve picked up quite a few from thrift stores. After last week’s intense heat and ashen skies, it felt like a good day to bring a little extra color to the market 🤗

Head to Roberts Park anytime between 4-7pm today and bring home some seasonal color for your home 💕

** 9:35 Update: added a few more arrangements, and there are 11 big beautiful snapdragon bunches!

The first round of flowers are out this morning 💕 And I still have a couple hundred snapdragons that need to find homes so those $10 snap bundles will be replenished, if needed 😉

The humidity feels oppressive this morning 🥵 but some of the smokiness has dissipated so that’s one in the win column for your Saturday 👍🏻 Add another win with a juicy bunch of snapdragons on your counter 💕

Finally got into the garden this evening for the first time since Tuesday morning. Despite the intense heat, lack of rain, and abundant smoke, there was a lot to pick!

Focal flowers are in short supply, but I have loads of flower spikes like snapdragons, blue delphiniums, and foxgloves to fill up several vases that will be available on the porch tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Probably Sunday, too 😉

And since I need room in the cooler for the most recent harvest, the gorgeous snapdragon stems that have been hanging out there for about a week need to go! It’ll be a Super Saturday Snapdragon Sale 🎉Fifteen phenomenal fluffy stems for only $10 dollars 🤗 Lots of vase life left in these beauties so come grab one for you and one for a friend 💕
