Our Apple tree is blooming! 🌸🌱🌸

It's almost time to plant.

It's almost time!! Our last meeting was spent w**ding boxes, pruning our apple tree, breaking down some wood, and painting a new blessing box for the community! We have high hopes for our next meeting, where we'll finally be putting all of the seedlings in the ground! 🌱

Marigolds, Kale, Swiss Chard, and Cabbage. The seedlings are starting to sprout!

Join us at our next meeting, Saturday, March 14th, at 1 pm at the Saginaw YMCA!

We'll be finalizing our plans to get these seedlings in the ground and potentially pruning our Apple Tree! Dress in layers! Hope to see you there!

We are so lucky to be hosted by the Saginaw YMCA this year. At our last meeting, we got to observe the plots we’ll be using, as well as the Apple Tree we’ll be maintaining this year!

Right out front was this lovely drawing that reminded me of the painting “The Sun” by Edvard Munch. Made me think of just how special this area is and the people that inhabit it!

Big things start small 🌱

So excited to officially kick off the Saginaw Community Garden this year at the Saginaw YMCA. We have a great group. Our members are already getting our seedlings started to grow something amazing for our community.
