Warmer temps this week have us thinking spring digging which is just under 3 weeks away!

1. Skinny Latte Coffeetree (Kankakee is one of the first nurseries in the country to grow and propagate this upright Coffeetree cultivar!)
2. Sucker Punch Chokecherry (sucker-free Prunus variety with improved branching structure over Canada Red)
3. Gladiator Crabapple (columnar crab variety with striking pink flowers in spring and disease-resistant, glossy, dark purple foliage throughout summer)

Bare root trees have arrived at Kankakee, which means the new year is officially underway! Our guys are meticulously root pruning our new tree liner arrivals in our cold storage facility to make sure they are ready to flourish once they are planted in the ground or in pots this spring.
