Wrist Flair

Wrist Flair is Meagan Steinberg's line of unique jewelry and accessories made from handmade glass beads. The glass beads are made using a torch and kiln.

I create the beads through a process called "lampworking" which involves melting glass rods with a torch. I continue to add glass to the bead and it's at this stage that I can mix colors, change the shape of the bead, etc. Once I'm finished with the bead, I put it in a kiln for "annealing" which is a process that allows the bead to cool slowly and gain strength and durability.

New and fresh out of the kiln: glass pumpkin beads 🎃🍁 I’ve been using them in my fall charm necklaces and purse/bag charms. I’ll have a variety of these with me this weekend at the North Iowa Art Studio Tour which kicks off tomorrow!
