West King Wednesday was created to bring the community together and to support the brick and mortar businesses of West King Street AS WELL AS other non fixed businesses of WEST AUGUSTINE. That means also, not all the businesses are able to change their hours or stay open later, so most businesses (brick and mortar) will run specials throughout the day to take part in West King Wednesday. Then around 5pm, MULTIPLE West King Street businesses host their own pop up markets. All the way from Sweet City Cupcakes to Ink & Barley. After those markets begin to pack up, the official after party starts at Paper Root for a Comedy Show. This event is in fact an all day event. Each business runs their business the way that works for them. We all decided to keep it that way because that represents the very uniqueness that is WEST AUGUSTINE.
So, with that said, if you're hungry during West King Wednesday, check with some of our amazing local food stops along West King Street throughout the day. If you feel like shopping around, come check the awesome shops we have all up and down the street open during the day that may not be able to open in the evening. We even have great places OFF of West King Street. Support Local. Support Small Businesses. Shop Small. We love you!!!

In the beginning it was considered a “dead” month & collectively businesses deemed it too slow. However, due to the amazing community, (THAT’S YOU!) some of the businesses want to take January for a new test spin. So let’s support the businesses that are able to participate in the renewal of JANUARY WKW! Not all businesses are able to participate this month (but will still be open their regular hours), so let’s talk about the ones that are:
