6 Mile Outpost Weekly Update

This week has been all about finishes starting to come together.

Flooring is currently underway and should be completed by the end of the week. Painting has also started throughout the liquor store, and the faux log siding is now going up along the sides of the building while the brown siding continues on the front and back.

Power and water are now connected to the building, which allows crews to begin moving into fixtures next. Lighting, plumbing fixtures, shelving, and other interior pieces will start being installed as the spaces continue to take shape.

Inside, the interior trusses are in, and countertops are still scheduled to begin the week of the 24th. The liquor store coolers are installed and still waiting on their doors.

Outside, landscaping is starting to become more noticeable with fencing going in and sod beginning to be laid.

A lot of the major construction is behind us now, and we are getting into the details that will really start making each space feel finished.

6 Mile Outpost Weekly Update

This is a big one.

The entire parking lot is now paved, striping and parking signs are complete, curbs and islands are finished, and landscaping is beginning. The roof is also 100% complete, stonework around the building is finished, and exterior siding is continuing to go up. And yes, the final siding will be brown, not yellow.

Inside, power has now been brought to the building while crews continue finishing the interior electrical. The AC system is installed and expected to be up and running this week. The tongue and groove ceiling in the liquor store is fully complete, and the coolers are installed and waiting on their doors.

Water and internet connections are coming soon, and the next few weeks will bring some major interior changes. Floors are scheduled for the week of the 17th, followed by painting and countertops the week of the 24th.

Over in the smoke shop, drywall is now up and that space is moving closer to the finishing stages as well.

A lot of the work from here may be less visible from the road, but we are getting into the details that bring everything together.

6 Mile Outpost Weekly Update 7/14-7/24

A lot has changed since our last update, both inside and outside the building.

The first round of asphalt has been laid, although there is still more of the parking lot to complete. All exterior doors and glass are now fully installed, and stonework has begun across the front of the building.

Inside the liquor store, the tongue and groove ceiling is starting to go up, and the HVAC system is being wrapped up. The smoke shop walls are also fully framed.

At this stage, a lot of the work is happening behind the scenes as crews continue working through plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and the other systems throughout the building.

It may not all be visible from the road, but there is a lot happening inside as we keep moving closer to the finish line.

6 Mile Outpost Weekly Update

One of our biggest milestones yet is coming up. Asphalt is scheduled to be laid beginning July 20, bringing the parking lot one major step closer to completion.

Around the building, all of the exterior glass and doors have now been installed, giving the Outpost a much more finished appearance. Siding is also going up, the roof is nearing completion, and stonework on the front of the building will be starting soon.

Inside, drywall has been installed in the liquor store, and we’re looking forward to beginning the interior wall framing throughout the building.

We appreciate everyone following along as each week brings the Outpost one step closer to opening.

6 Mile Outpost Weekly Update

This week has been another busy one as work continues both inside and outside the building.

The 75,000 gallon fire suppression cistern has been delivered and is currently being installed, while the fire suppression system inside the building is now complete. Concrete has also been poured for the front porch.

Inside the building, framing continues as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems are being run throughout. The liquor store coolers are also being installed, bringing that space one step closer to taking shape.

Outside, crews have begun pouring curbs, preparing the parking lot islands for concrete, and continuing block work on the pump house. Back doors are also being installed.

The front windows were delayed, but we’re looking forward to seeing those installed next week.

Every week brings another piece of the project together, and we’re excited to keep sharing the progress.
