Thank you, Good News Church Youth for investing your time this week at Alpha-Omega Thrift Store!

What an incredible group of young people. Throughout the week, they served with joyful hearts by organizing children’s and adult clothing, helping on the sales floor, speaking with customers, hanging merchandise, and even helping redesign and improve one of our art display fixtures. Every task was met with enthusiasm, kindness, and a willingness to serve. Some even made a special trip to our new campus to leave messages on the walls.

One of the sweetest moments each day was gathering together before they began serving. A different student would lead the group in prayer, asking God’s blessing over our WOW ladies, our G.R.O,W., AOMH, and our entire Thrift Store team. It was a powerful reminder that serving begins with a heart surrendered to God.

We were equally impressed by their leaders, who modeled Christlike leadership through encouragement, humility, and hard work. They set a wonderful example for the students and reminded us how important strong mentorship is.

Our hope was not only to give them an opportunity to serve, but also to encourage them to continue making a difference through both local and global missions. Mission work doesn’t only happen across the world—it happens right here in our own communities, one act of kindness at a time.

To each student: Thank you for reminding us that the future is bright. You encouraged our staff just as much as we hope we encouraged you. Seeing the next generation love Jesus, love people, and serve with purpose gives us great hope for what God is doing.

Thank you for choosing to spend part of your summer serving others. Your kindness, your work ethic, your prayers, and your hearts for Christ left a lasting impact on all of us.

Some goodbyes are bittersweet.

Today we’re cheering on one of our own as Noah heads off to college. While we’re going to miss seeing his smile, work ethic, and servant’s heart around Alpha - Omega Thrift Store, we couldn’t be more proud of him.

From helping build shelves during our expansion, making deliveries, running the register, and always being willing to do whatever needed to be done, Noah quietly made our team better every single day.

Our staff at AOMH came together to send him off with a basket full of road-trip snacks, lots of laughter, heartfelt encouragement, and plenty of prayers for the miles ahead.

Noah, here’s to all the adventures waiting for you. May God guide every step, open every door, and remind you that you’ll always have a family cheering you on back here in St. Augustine.

Safe travels, study hard, play hard, walk faithfully, and never forget—you’ll always be part of the Alpha-Omega family.
