One of my favorite things about what I do is the opportunity to paint all different types of messages and themes from the fun and silly to the celebratory to ones like today that honor and remember our great country and all of the heroes of 9/11. Thank you Patriot Oaks Academy PTO for having me out to paint this special rock and showing all the kids at your school the importance of today!

The Big Reveal is Finally Here… and this one has my whole heart. 💙💚📚

My first elementary school mural is officially complete — and getting to paint it at my own kids’ school, made it even more special.

This was also my first time tackling something quite this BIG — 12-foot walls, a 10-foot ladder, two sets of doors, corners, and a whole lot of “how exactly am I getting up THERE? with PAINT?” and also "Wow, I didn't know that muscle existed!" 😂

But I truly fell in love with every little section as I painted it. The reading Puma, the flying book, the falling leaves, the Puma flag, the large bold "Welcome" message…I honestly can’t pick a favorite.

What I love most, though, is how the whole space just feels HAPPY. And hearing teachers, parents and kids say the same thing has been the very best part. "It just makes me HAPPY," is my WHY.

Thank you Picolata Crossing Elementary School for this opportunity! Principal Kolk and Ms. Y (aka my favorite Librarian) ..I hope you LOVE it!
