Flagler's Legacy and the Historic Legacy Tours were created by a student campus organization called Enactus, formally known as SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise). Donna DeLorenzo, Executive Director of College Relations and Sam Walton Fellow, and Enactus saw the potential for a thriving retail business in 1999. Enactus students opened a small boutique gift shop in the Rotunda of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon during that summer selling a few historic souvenirs. Additionally, they began charging for guided tours of the College that included areas normally restricted to the public. Their success was so great that the idea for a store in the historic St. George Street, was born. Flagler's Legacy was created with a three-fold objective: to market the College globally; to teach students how to start and run a business; and to produce revenue for the College. Flagler's Legacy opened its doors in April 2000, at the north end of St. George Street in a charming 2-story historic building of coquina, stone and aged wooden beams. What started out as a small selection of t-shirts and souvenirs has expanded into a collection of over 300 custom gifts and souvenirs. Over the years, the business has grown to include an online store a college souvenir retail store, and a boutique gift shop in the Rotunda, where historical tours of Flagler College are given year round to over 40,000 guests annually.

🎬 Flagler College is in the spotlight! ✨

We're thrilled to share that Flagler College was recently featured in VISIT FLORIDA's America 250: A Portrait of Florida's St. Augustine episode on YouTube!

Dr. Thomas Graham and Tracy Upchurch speak to the incredible significance of our historic building, not just for the City of St. Augustine, but for the entire nation. The episode features stunning views of our campus, both present-day and historic, along with rare archival photos and footage that includes a nod to the movies once filmed right here on our grounds! 🎥

We're also proud to be featured alongside the Castillo de San Marcos National Monumentt and Fort Mose Historical Society. A reminder of just how rich and vital St. Augustine's story is to American history.
