Meet Amy Thomson, The Shop Nanny.

I met Amy while shopping at Wilson Street Mercantile in Batavia.

As we chatted, Amy shared that she was looking over Arlo.Hendrix that day for the business owner, and does so for many businesses around the Western Suburbs!

“What a GENIUS idea,” I thought.

“Shop Nanny is an idea I dreamt up while helping a few friends with their small shops. They would have a recital for their kiddo or doctor’s appointment but didn’t want to close their doors, so I would watch the shop for that day, which allowed them to do what they needed to without having to close.

Consistency in hours is so important for small shops! And I know how hard they work to build these business.I wanted to be the person they could trust with their business baby.” -Amy

With over a decade of retail management experience, Amy is familiar with several POS systems, those that are mostly used by small businesses.

Amy enjoys:

👉🏽 Chatting with customers and promoting the shops
👉🏽 Working on projects for owners during business hours like stamping bags, unpacking new inventory, restocking shelves, re-arranging and staging inventory
👉🏽Maintaining vendor booths in multi-vendor stores to re-stock and reset their spaces
