Friday, September 18, is the five-year anniversary of the opening of the Second Chance Thrift Shop. Thanks to the overwhelming support from our wonderful customers, donors, Facebook followers, and dedicated all volunteer team, Second Chance has provided financial support and goods to help families in need in our community and beyond. Please stop by on the 18th so we can say "thank-you" in person. Customers will receive a small "thank you" gift with their purchases on our anniversary day.

Our "Mission of the Month" is the St. Thomas Free Clinic that provides free care to the uninsured residents if our community. The shop will donate $1000 and the money customers donate through the collection jar at the checkout counter.

A lovely 8 piece vintage snack set arrived on the sales floor at Second Chance Thrift Shop today. Dishes are turquoise blue with 22K gold trim. The pieces are in the original box and were lovingly wrapped in newspaper pages dated 1980.

Second Chance Thrift Shop will be closed from Saturday, December 20 through Monday, January 5 in order for our volunteers to enjoy the holidays with their families and for the shop to undergo some maintenance and renovations. The shop will re-open on January 6 at 10 AM and our
volunteers look forward to seeing you then. We wish all our customers, donors, and volunteers a very Merry Christmas and a new year filled with many blessings.
