🎣 Memorial Day Weekend Fishing Report – St. Croix River Valley 🇺🇸

The bite is heating up just in time for Memorial Day Weekend across the St. Croix Valley. Walleye action has been solid in current seams and deeper channel edges, especially early morning and near sunset. Anglers are finding success with live bait rigs, jigs tipped with crawlers, and trolling crankbaits along ledges and breaks.

Smallmouth bass are getting more active around rocky shorelines and rip rap, while crappie and bluegill are starting to move shallow in backwaters and warmer bays. Northern pike and catfish are also providing steady action throughout the river system.

Whether you’re hitting the river at sunrise, spending the weekend at camp, or getting the boat back on the water for the holiday, it’s shaping up to be a great weekend to fish the St. Croix.

As we enjoy the long weekend, we also remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

WEEKEND FISHING REPORT 🎣

The weekend bite is shaping up nicely across the area and anglers are seeing action on multiple species! Warmer temps and stable weather patterns are helping fish move shallow during low light hours.

WALLEYE
Early morning and evening bites continue to produce. Jig and minnow combinations, leeches, and live bait rigs are working best along current breaks, w**d edges, and rocky structure.

CRAPPIE & PANFISH
Crappies are active in shallow bays and around emerging w**ds. Small plastics, waxies, and bobber setups are getting the job done. Bluegill action continues to improve with warmer water temps.

NORTHERN PIKE
Pike are aggressive right now and hitting spoons, spinnerbaits, and larger minnows. W**d lines and shallow flats are producing steady action.

BASS
Largemouth and smallmouth fishing continues to heat up. Anglers are finding success with soft plastics, chatterbaits, and topwater presentations during warmer afternoon hours.
