WILL IT FLOWER? Episode 13: BLUE JEANS 👖🌼

At some point, someone should probably convince us that not everything needs to be a vase.

Today is not that day.

This week we asked a perfectly reasonable question: Will blue jeans flower?
Turns out, not only will they flower… they’ll sit politely on the counter looking like they’re waiting for someone to take them to brunch.
And honestly, the denim and yellow combo turned out way cuter than it had any right to.

Now, we need to know… what should we flower next?

Kenyon has been going to Ari for quite a while now, and everytime he comes back he always boasts about how awesome his barber is. The proof is in the pudding. Zion Barbers

💈 Community has always been at the heart of Zion Barbers.

Recently, Ari spent nearly 10 hours behind the chair giving away more than 50 free haircuts to local kids ahead of the new school year. What the article described as “positive chaos” was a full day of fresh cuts, conversations and giving back to the St. George community.

For Ari, barbering has always been about more than a haircut. It’s about the people who sit in the chair, the relationships built over the years and being able to give back to the community that continues to support Zion Barbers.

Behind the scenes at AMR Floral Design
Ever wonder what happens before we start designing?

This is a process & pull day.
As flowers come in, we process them so they can hydrate and last as long as possible. But when we're in the middle of a busy week, we're also pulling flowers for pre-orders at the same time.

On the right, Kenyon is focused on processing.

On the left, I'm (Shannon here, hi!) processing flowers while pulling stems for upcoming orders.

Pulling pre-orders helps us make sure every order gets exactly what was promised and keeps us from accidentally overselling a flower before it's even designed.
Processing our stems is vital for long lasting luscious flowers.

So a process and pull day eliminates an unnecessary step and makes us more efficient.

It's not the glamorous side of floristry... but plays a strong role. Not to mention, it makes designing quicker for us so we don't fall behind on orders.

👷‍♂️ WILL IT FLOWER? Episode 12 👷‍♀️
This week's challenge: a hard hat.

The mission was simple, turn a piece of safety equipment into a unique floral arrangement.
Of course, things took a turn when the hard hat was commandeered, one legendary battle cry was unleashed, and a level of confidence emerged that was definitely not approved by OSHA.

Despite the shenanigans, creativity prevailed, flowers were arranged, and we still managed to answer the question:
Will it flower? 🌹

No trees were harmed in the making of this film. Any resemblance to ancient Sparta is purely coincidental.
