Børge Mogensen designed the Spanish Chair in 1958, inspired by the wide-armed chairs he encountered travelling through Andalucia. He kept the weight and presence of the original, and simplified everything else. Solid oak and saddle leather that only improves with age.

We’re in Copenhagen this week! Follow along in our stories for peaks of inspires us. Exited to meet with many of our brands and explore what’s on the horizon in design.

Today we had the opportunity to visit some Fritz Hansen sites around town and see original architecture, furniture, and small goods in the settings they were designed for.

Pictured is part of Room 606 in the SAS Hotel designed by Arne Jacobsen. It was a time capsule of midcentury design and the only room left in the hotel in the original state.
