Happy Father’s Day to Our Favorite Plant Daddy, Brian! 🌱💚

Today we celebrate not only Brian, but all the incredible fathers who lead with strength, love, and sacrifice.

Brian is truly one of the hardest-working men we know. Whether he’s growing a garden, building a dream, helping a neighbor, serving our community, or encouraging those around him, there seems to be nothing he can’t do. He spent years shaping lives as a teacher and coach, and continues to lead by example every single day!! ❤️

He is a devoted husband, a loving father, a caring son, a loyal friend, and a selfless leader. The heart behind everything he does is his desire to serve others, and we are so grateful for the countless ways he pours into his family, the Saint Jo community, and the dreams we are building together.

Today, we tip our butterbean bowls to our favorite Plant Daddy and to all the fathers who work tirelessly, love deeply, and make life better for those around them.

The market red potatoes were sautéed into a savory side with farm-fresh onions, a whole bulb of gorgeous garlic, green bell peppers, and jalapeno peppers — paired with sweet corn and grilled shrimp for a feast Dad would be proud of! OMG-DELICIOUS!!!😋

🌿 From The Potager Market Kitchen!! 🌿

At The Potager Market, we’re always on the hunt for produce that’s a little harder to find and a whole lot more delicious!

This weekend’s treasures? Premium Golden Zucchini 💛 and Fresh-Shelled Purple Hull Peas — two Southern favorites that are as beautiful as they are flavorful.

The golden zucchini was transformed into a rich, savory garden Parmesan and Lesya red pepper sauté, while the purple hull peas were simmered low and slow with a little bacon, onion, garlic, and chicken broth just the way they should be to bring out their beautiful flavors. Together, they made a meal that tastes like summer in the South.
