My husband started the tradition of getting me flowers to plant every year for Mothers Day. He would get me 6 packs of snapdragons, dahlias, stock, and other annuals. I asked him once why he never got me perennials and he said "if I did that, then I wouldn't be able to get you flowers every year"
After he passed, my kids kept up the tradition and this is the one of the dahlias. I never had this kind before. It's called "Bashful"

It has taken me 2+weeks to be able to access my page. New update on Facebook didn't shut me out but wouldn't load. But finally it did last night. No idea if it was actually the update or if it was my signal. I do suddenly have 5G in the most random spots on my property, places where I had no signal at all before. Oh the joys of off grid homesteading 🤣
I want to give a warm welcome to all my new followers and say thank you!!!❤️

Being off grid, we rely on gas for not just our vehicles but for our generators too. Gas is $4.55 a gallon and we make 10 gallons a week work for the water truck and the generator my son uses for welding work. If we had to depend on the generators to power the house we would be in real trouble. How have the increase in fuel costs affected you?
