🚨Update - Long Post Please Read🚨

We wanted to take a moment to share an update, as we’ve been getting a lot of questions about the future of the Bin Store.

At this time, the reality is that reopening a large 7,000 sq. ft. Bin Store is very unlikely. We know this isn’t the news many were hoping for, but after months of searching, we’ve been unable to find a location that is both available and financially realistic. Larger spaces in our area are extremely limited, and the few we’ve found have either been too expensive or not suitable for our business.

Because the store has not generated income since December while expenses have continued, we’ve had to make some difficult but necessary decisions about what makes the most financial sense moving forward. We are still exploring the possibility of a smaller location, but at this time, nothing has come together yet.

With that being said, we’ve shifted our focus to our lawn care business, which many of you may not know we’ve been running alongside the store. Now that we’re heading into the busy season, we are actively taking on new clients and would truly appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.

If you or someone you know is looking for reliable, high-quality lawn care, we’d love to help. Services include routine mowing, yard maintenance, and more done with the same level of care and commitment you came to expect from us at the Bin Store.

Above everything, we want to thank this community. Your support has meant everything to us not just as business owners, but as a family. We’ve met so many great people through the store, and we’re incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

This isn’t necessarily the end of the Bin Store, it’s just a shift in direction while we figure out the best path forward. In the meantime, we’re here, we’re working, and we’re ready to serve you in a new way.

🚨 Long Post 🚨

I know everyone keeps checking our page and asking if there is some kind of update on the store, and unfortunately we just don't have one. We had two locations that we were trying to pursue, both had tenants until the end of this month. Unfortunately, one of those locations had a company offer to rent their entire 32,000 sqft building, so that option is no longer available. We went and did another walk-through of the 2nd location yesterday, and it's in worse shape than I remember it being in. The roof was leaking, which caused ceiling tiles to fall through. They had several buckets around the building catching the water. In its current state vs the price they're asking, it just isn't worth it. We can't risk putting thousands of dollars worth of inventory in a building like that and it getting ruined.

This is very unfortunate, as those were the only two locations we were able to find within our price. There are a lot of commercial buildings for rent, but a majority of them are asking way more money per month than we are able to afford. It's been quite the challenge to find a building that's around 7000 sqft (same size as our previous store) that doesn't cost $8000+ per month. A bin store is a very expensive business to be in. Load prices just keep rising, and sometimes the quality of the loads go down, which means the only way to try and be somewhat profitable is to keep all other costs as low as possible. Spending $90,000+/year on building rent alone just isn't something we can justify and only sets us up for failure. We have tried reaching back out to the owners of our previous location to see if there is something we can work out, but as of now they have yet to respond back.

The most unfortunate part of all this is that if we don't find a location soon, the odds of us being able to reopen again get smaller and smaller. We are not a big, corporate-funded business with unlimited finances. We are a true, locally owned small business, and this is our sole income that provides for our personal lives as well. Although we are currently closed, the bills for the Bin Store and our personal lives still have to be paid, and it's tough with no revenue coming in from the store.

We see businesses closing every single day, and we don't want that to become a reality for us as well. We honestly believe we offer something amazing to our community, bringing discounted items to people who may not be able to afford them at retail cost. We have been shown a great deal of support even during the temporary closure. Not only did we see hundreds of faces every week at our store, but also the amount of support we get on Facebook with people asking daily about updates. It doesn't go unnoticed, We are just working effortlessly behind the scenes to find a new location. With that being said, if anyone knows of a 7000 sqft building for lease that doesn't cost an insane amount, please let us know.

🚨 Quick Update 🚨

We haven’t forgotten about everyone, We are still tirelessly looking for a new location. We spoke with a few places last month and despite them being listed as “for rent” they still have tenants until March, Other than that communication from them has been very limited. There doesn’t seem to be an abundance of “Listed” properties for rent but a majority of the ones that are listed are going for $8000+ per month and that is way beyond our budget.

It’s a little disappointing that it’s taken this long and we still haven’t been able to find anything but unfortunately there isn’t anything we can do but keep searching and checking listings everyday to see if anything new has been added. If anyone knows of an open space with 7000sqft or more that doesn’t cost a ridiculous amount of money per month feel free to let us know! I will try to keep everyone update as time goes but unfortunately we are currently in the same situation we have been in since we closed!
