I've got promises to keep.
The first 7 bins of boys fall and winter clothing are unburied and getting priced!
While most of the week will be spent preparing for the Estate Sale on Thursday, my free time will be nose to the grindstone stocking clothes in almost all categories! Lord willing, when you come back in 1.5 weeks the racks will be bursting!

Good Rainy Morning!

I am watching the weather to see if I can untarp the 50% off sale outside. I always wait until fog, heavy dew and even small rain chances clear up. BUT, inside I am offering 25% off four different color tags!

Today, Saturday, I WILL stay open until 2pm. Despite not being the official close time since Dec. 2024, I have been receiving visitors after Noon since then. I am almost always out here winding down, doing light work, surfing online, planning the next week, prepping for an afternoon of pricing, staring blankly....I rarely announce I'm here later, I just am. That also means I don't announce when I actually close on time so keep that in mind when you want to come up after Noon and find the closed sign out. It's best to try to contact me first unless you don't mind the drive.

I am finally back on my feet in a pattern that has repeated itself way too many times. Just in time for the weekend and more outdoor chores. Allergy sufferers unite!!🤧😅

I am pricing some things now. Before I got sick I put out three racks of ladies skirts. This morning I got some kids roller blades and rubber boots priced along with some seasonal items and some kitchen items. I have a photo of my current FALL/THANKSGIVING decor. I will continue pricing through the day as always.

After the fog/moisture clears (usually between 10 and 11) I will be putting MANY items on the 50% off tables outside. This is a ONE DAY affair as another rain chance hits Saturday. I will post photos once I get that set up! Items will not be discounted inside the shop as it would be too time consuming and confusing to individually mark or separate these items.

Air fresheners (I have them in bulk!)

MANY more framed prints, frames, wall decor etc.
I will also have Ladies skirts, shirts and dresses for $1.00
A Table of .10 books
$2.00 ladies shoes

and who knows what else! When I get on a roll I can't stop!

Since I did not get much pricing done this past week, "The Pile" has grown exponentially. All I can say is, when I re-open after the estate sale next week (now, weather permitting!) there is going to be a TON (probably literally) of new stuff out.

I am not a neat and orderly worker. I like order and I crave it, but I can't have order while I'm working. Or maybe there is order in the midst of the chaos....

Saturday afternoon I usually start sorting and pricing for the upcoming week but for some reason I didn't do much at all except set up the table and prep supplies. Monday I started making a big mess and then decided I wanted to work outside instead. Today I must face the consequences of my mess making!
I'll update tomorrow what I got restocked. I have a lot of fall decor to put out. Dress up clothes are already being purchased for halloween and I'll restock coats in two weeks when I re-open after the estate sale.
All recent drop offs are sorted through and payments available for pick up starting Wednesday or I will begin sending them online during my down times on Wednesday.

It's going to be a HOT one today. Try to stay inside and stay cool.

Good morning!

A few more hot days and then some relief! As of Saturday, when I'm writing this, Tuesday's high is 103!

Please note the informational graphics. I'll go through them briefly.

"Estate Sale" I have an estate sale just outside of St. Marys coming up next week. There will be a lot of nice furniture. I will post photos, address and all that as we get closer.

"FYI" I have a selling group for the store. If you search "Michelle's Place" on facebook it should come up no problem. It was actually started before I even opened up this building but once I got the brick and mortar going it just fell by the wayside from lack of time and energy. I feel like I'm getting to the point that I can begin posting more consistently. *knock on wood*

"Book An Appointment" I been taking after hours shopping appointments all year long! Whether you just need some place to be out of the weather and walk and think and window shop or you need to do some serious shopping without the kids hit me up! Maybe you have family in town on a day that I'm not open. I try to be very accommodating. I can't always save someone a trip out of town or from making an amazon order but I've heard those phrases often enough to know that it might be worth a shot coming here first.

"September ISO" Please check your closets, storage, toy rooms, bedrooms, grandma's house....any place kid clutter collects and let me help you clear some space now that the kids are back in school and the big holiday months will be here before you know it!

"Weekly Schedule" Through September I don't plan on having extra days or hours. Last year I started late nights Thursdays in the fall, which were a huge hit. I will see about doing that again, plus adding more hours Tuesdays and Wednesdays especially as we get closer to the holidays. Right now I need to use those off days to get Fall and Winter items out of storage and onto racks and shelves!

On another note, I have been receiving inquiries about the Christmas Sale. I will be having it here at the shop. It's more feasible than renting in town and WAY less work than hauling everything to that location and then hauling it out of there plus I won't have to close down the shop that week or hire and train help to watch one or the other. The date will be same as most of my others which is the first weekend in December.

I think that about covers it!
Tomorrow I will post pictures and updates about what I got restocked so far.

Yesterday was 100 degrees and I sold 6 winter coats and 10 pairs of boots. Every year I have a limited supply so NOW is definitely the time to get them before it's 20 degrees and a snowstorm coming and all the Northern people (or those who are Northern at heart😁) clear me out!
I have more coats in storage that I guess I'll be pulling out! 🥵🥵

Did you know that I restock daily? Granted it's not the large amount that I do over the weekend but there's always something new!

Good morning,

I didn't get a whole lot priced this weekend as I had a lot of catching up to do around the house. Even when I'm not open I usually work up to 10 hours a day preparing for opening on Wednesday and that means my personal life is put on the back burner. The kids and I made some progress this week so I feel great about that!

I priced about 6 blue carts full of miscellaneous plus a large collection of Catholic books. I put out 3 racks full of girls dresses and a rack full of nursing dresses. I have two racks full of maternity clothes that also went out this week. I priced a few totes full of purses, bags, diaper bags, duffels and back packs. Remember, the photos are just a sample of what I get out every week. I do not have time to display everything.

I will have a small selection of 50% off items outside. It has to be small to stay out of the main sun of the day. Still lots of great stuff and like last week I will keep adding to it.
