Our adorable, sly brass fox has officially found a loving home! 🦊🤓

Tiana came in and purchased him—and promptly gave him the distinguished name of Sir Reginald Whiskerton. 😂 He now has a loving home, and she has a rather magnificent new prized possession!

Thank you so much for coming in, Tiana! We hope you and Reginald are very happy together. 🥰

Little details like these around my shop just make me so happy. 😊🥹

Tiny pumpkins tucked into teacups, mischievous mice holding little signs, a fox hiding beneath an enormous mushroom, chalk dust left by busy little drawing hands, and a bespectacled metal fox on the wall who—to me—looks suspiciously like the Big Bad Wolf wearing Grandma’s glasses, with his bow-tied little companion.. adorable squirrels whose tails prop open doors..

Just unexpected bits of beauty and whimsy tucked into every corner.

They may not be the first things you notice when you walk through the door, but I hope they make exploring the shop feel just a little bit magical. 🍂🐭🍄 I know they do for me. 🥰

Two of my little nephews got to be in my live with me this morning! This is Malcolm and Robert, my beautiful sister Beatrice's boys.
We showed you some of the new things in the store and I like usual I didn't get to show you all of the new things that came in! Not to mention that I have a growing mountain of Christmas boxes behind the register that I've been opening and tagging getting ready for the next season ahead! 🙈 I might show some sneak peeks soon! I have been SO excited to share this new company with you—and I had *cutest* models to help me! Serena and her adorable twins came to visit, and I absolutely love having them in my store. ❤️

A customer told me about Be A Heart, and the moment I saw their beautiful Catholic children’s products, I knew I wanted them at The Ivy House!

We now have the sweetest St. Joseph and Our Lady dolls, Miraculous Medal necklaces and bows, little rosary kits that help children practice their fine motor skills, St. Thérèse of Lisieux swaddle blankets, a wooden Good Shepherd puzzle, and even “Jesus Heals” bandages—so little ones can remember to offer their boo-boos up to Jesus! Those are already selling so quickly that I need to order more! 😂

But the item that originally made me fall in love with this company is Mary on the Mantel! It is a beautiful Catholic Advent tradition—something like Elf on the Shelf, but centered on Our Lady, the coming of Christ, and acts of kindness.

During Advent, Mary wears her little pregnancy bump, and children can search for her each day to discover a new act of kindness tucked inside her bag. Then, on Christmas Day, her pregnancy bump comes off and she holds Baby Jesus, wrapped in His own little swaddle blanket. 🥹

What an incredibly sweet way to help children prepare their hearts for Christmas! I know without a doubt that this is a tradition I would want to do with my own children! ❤️

📚✨ STORY TIME IS BACK! ✨📚

After taking a little pause for the summer, we are so excited to welcome Miss Dori from Kaw Valley USD 321 Play Café back to The Ivy House!

Join us this Thursday, September 10, at 10:30 a.m. for a delightful story-time hour. The children absolutely love Miss Dori every single time, and we are thrilled to be getting back into the swing of our monthly story times! 💛
