Today, we’re giving a big shoutout to all the grandparents out there who continue to carry our stories forward for the next generation. To the ones who paved the way, shared their wisdom, nurtured our dreams, and continue to make our futures brighter, today is for you.

Think you have a bookish opinion worth defending? A hill you’re willing to die on? A take so controversial that it deserves its own PowerPoint?

Join us at Black Garnet Books on Saturday, September 19, from 6–7:30 PM for Hot Weather, Hot Takes, a night where readers, writers, and book lovers take the stage to make their case.

Bring us your unpopular opinions, passionate arguments, rankings, theories, obsessions, literary grievances, or wildly questionable beliefs. Give us your funniest evidence, strongest argument, or the hill you will proudly die on.

Interested in presenting?
Submit your presentation through the link in our bio for review. Presentations can be a PowerPoint, prepared speech, ranking, dramatic reading, literary TED Talk, visual presentation, or whatever format helps you make your case!

⏰ Presentations are limited to 10 minutes.
📅 Submission deadline: Friday, September 18 at 11:59 PM
